RUN for HUNGER 2008 “The annual Run For Hunger combines a healthy and fun event with a good cause so that everyone benefits,” said Mary Ann Tupper, HRH Director. This year the students raised $14,000 to support the Lunch Box Kids program providing a nutritious lunch for needy students during the summer when school is not in session. Participants get friends and family to sponsor them and compete in several different categories. The Run For Hunger is organized by the administrative staff of SIS and Human Resources would like to thank SIS Principal Tim Frazier, teacher Pat Lissenden and and administrator Roseann Gentile for all their hard work. After the run, students have a carnival with food provided by HRH and games including a dunking booth, outdoor bowling, free head shaving, and a water balloon toss. |
