Get Ready to Jump in the Ocean!
Our 9th Polar Bear Plunge will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8th at 10 am at Cooper’s Beach in Southampton Village.
We need to raise money every year for our Food Pantry. 350 local families depend on us for food and help. Many of the people we help are your friends and neighbors.
To take the Plunge, you must either give or get a minimum of $25.00. If you collect at least $25 from sponsors, your registration is free. If you don’t get any donations, you’ll pay a $25 Registration Fee to plunge. All plungers receive a free Polar Bear Plunge 2012 hat.
You will register and sign a waiver on the day of the Plunge. Registration is in the Pavilion at Cooper’s Beach. Turn in money and donation sheet when you register.
Arrive before 9:30 am to register; the Plunge is at 10 a.m. sharp.
Last year, 444 plungers helped us raise $80,000 to purchase food, emergency fuel and utilities, school supplies, medical transportation, home repairs, and more.
Please take the Plunge again, to help us raise $100,000 this time.
Together, I know we can do it!
Wear a costume! That makes it even more fun!

Our sponsors: Suffolk County National Bank, The Tomorrow Foundation, Farrell Building, Wright & Co. Construction, and Bonnie Grice of WPPB local radio, who donates her time and talent every year to be the Plunge MC.
We're kept safe by the Southampton, Hampton Bays and NOrth Sea Firefighters, the Southampton and Southampton Village Ambulance Volunteers and EMTs, and the Southampton Village Police, all of whom volunteer their servcie and equipment every year.
We are so grateful to the plunging faithful, the hundreds of local people who have taken the chilly dip every year to help us raise money for our food pantry. HRH simply could not do it without you.
